Summer is right around the corner and that can only mean one beautiful thing is on the cusp of the season’s change, FESTY SEASON! Of course, along with festival season comes schedule announcements, so all you little party animals can start planning your schedules that you will undoubtedly abandon the second you touch festival grounds.
Today we were blessed with the Wakarusa 2015 lineup schedule announcement, taking place at the epic Mulberry Mountain in Arkansas from June 4th to June 7th, and while there is almost guaranteed conflicts for most fans, at least we can try to figure out the best plan of action during all of the decadence.
Gracing the Main Stage on Thursday is festival favorite, Umphrey’s McGee, as well as Gigantic Underground Conspiracy and The Floozies. Friday will bring fans STS9, Chance The Rapper and Big Gigantic, just as things are really starting to heat up for the weekend. Saturday will host Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, Major Lazer and The Roots. Closing out the festival on Sunday are Lotus, Portugal. The Man and Thievery Corporation. These acts are just the tip of a massive pool of artists from all walks of the music scene, combining in the melting pot that is a festival for patron’s pleasure.
In true Wakarusa fashion, the festival is offering much, much more than music. Festivalgoers will have the ability to play disc golf, attend hoop n’ flow workshops, yoga, morning drum circles, hiking, canoeing, rafting, tubing, fishing, Ferris wheel rides and so much more.
This year’s festival will mark the first installment of a very unique idea, the Wakarusa Farmer’s Market, which will feature produce and loads of other products all supplied by local Franklin County farmers. Organized by Arts of The Ozarks, The Wakarusa Farmer’s Market is sure to provide some top quality products for festival patrons.
General Admission full event tickets for Wakarusa are going for $194 plus fees. 3-day, 2-day and Sunday passes are also available. VIP Full Event passes are $705 and offer a myriad of options including many VIP staples like private camping areas, express entry, private restrooms and many more. Oh yeah, and unlimited free drinks!
For those who wish to have a more glamorous camping experience, Glamping packages are available with pre-constructed tents harboring all of amenities you would expect from such a fine camping option. Each Glamping option comes with your choice of bed style, each with its own respective price, but must also be accompanied by a GA or VIP event pass.
Wakarusa 2015 is shaping up rather nicely and with the schedule announcement, there isn’t much left to the imagination. Start packing and planning, it’s going to be one hell of a ride, folks.
