Wilco and their festival curators have just released the lineup for the upcoming edition of Solid Sound Music and Arts Festival. Solid Sound Festival (SSF) will return to the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art in North Adams, MA, on June 26th – 28th. The three-day festival was conceived by the Chicago-based rock band Wilco in 2010, who hosts and headlines the event each year along with a wide range of musical guests. SSF was last held in 2013, and the band shared news about the comeback on their website, saying “We’ll spend 2014 roaming the planet in search of inspiration, musical and otherwise, to help us make the 2015 edition the best SSF yet.”
Solid Sound 2015 will continue in the tradition of previous festivals, offering a broad range of musical performers and comedians on four stages, along with Wilco-member side-projects and an all-covers set by Wilco. Other amenities include a comedy cabaret, a dunk tank, a naturalist hike, a live version of NPR’s Radiolab and more, all set on the campus of the country’s largest contemporary art museum. Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy spoke with Rolling Stone Magazine about the festival, saying “We want to make it unique every year, something you can only experience here.”
Solid Sound Music and Arts Festival 2015 lineup features Wilco, Marc Demarco, Stained Radiance (Nels Cline and Norton Wisdom), Tweedy, Taj Mahal, Richard Thompson, Glenn Kotche and Jeffery Zeigler, Expandable Brass Band and many, many more. A number of comedians will also be on-site to add to the fun. More artists will be released as the S
