For 35 years, the Winter Music Conference has upheld its legacy of being the most valuable event for young professionals and industry veterans to learn about the latest trends in electronic music. Providing insightful discussions, educational workshops, product demos, and poolside events, the 2020 edition has just revealed even more new experiences and innovative efforts to explore the-ever changing music landscape.
WMC will make its way back to Miami Beach at The Faena Forum March 16 - 19, to celebrate its 35th anniversary with influential tastemakers like Sofi Tukker, Barbara Tucker, Carl Craig, Josh Wink, Roger Sanchez, Tommie Sunshine, Sydney Blu and more.
For the first time, WMC is launching a fireside chat series called Signed on the Spot, which enables aspiring artists and producers to submit their demos to leading international dance music labels. Four diverse genres will be highlighted including Bass, Techno, House, and Dance.
The conference will also introduce Mentor Sessions in 2020, an invaluable tool for college graduates and new artists to make connections with the industry’s most impactful creators. Guests can engage in intimate conversations hosted by professionals like Pandora’s Andrew Marcogliese, Beatport’s Jonas Tempel, Little Empire’s Stephanie LaFera, SBE’s Kozmoe Alonzo, Falcon PR’s Alexandra Greenberg and more.
Last week, the world’s largest musical instrument retailer, Guitar Center, announced its partnership with WMC and Miami Music Week, hosting the official opening party before opening up their signature popup store with all the latest gear straight from the NAMM floor. Attendees can try out and purchase products from popular brands such as Pioneer, Roland, KORG, and Native Instruments.
Just across from WMC’s HQ, the MMW Oasis will take over the Generator hotel, providing a social hub for week-long showcases, yoga, barbeques and more.
