Wyatt Marshall, releases a brand new EP entitled ‘Mind Control.’ The EP features seven new tracks that explore all the different sounds of the DIRTYBIRD prodigy.
The first track on the EP is ‘Mind Control’ and it sticks to the familiar, minimal aestetic that Wyatt has been honing in recent years. Its title track, which is accompanied by a dub remix as well, is complete with modular synth accents, a gritty bassline, and the occasional vocal burst that combine into a heady, afterhours-ready result. From here each track just gets better and better. ‘Foundations Of Self’ is a exciting track full of unexpected twists and turns. ‘Stir Fry’ takes all the best elements of each track and combines them to create a standout piece that does not disappoint.
Wyatt Marshall has positioned himself as a premier underground talent among his Californian peers. With a focus on minimal-focused modular production, his work has landed on the likes of Audiojack’s Gruuv, Percomaniacs, and Observatory Music, to name a few. He’s a key tastemaker of the DIRTYBIRD flock, programming its weekly Birdhouse Radio while serving as the label’s Studio Manager.
