2015 has been a big year for rock and bluegrass band Yonder Mountain String Band. They have seen a busy schedule including festivals such as Summer Camp, The Rooster Walk and Dear Jerry. Also we saw the official additions of Allie Kral and Jacob Jolliff, a headlining performance at Red Rocks and the release of their new album Black Sheep.
Right about now, the band is most likely in route to Strings & Sol Music Festival in Puerto Morelos Mexico, alongside Railroad Earth, Greensky Bluegrass, Leftover Salmon, Sam Bush Band, Fruition, and Larry Keel. And that’s not even if for YMSB’s big year. To close out 2015 with a bang, the band will be performing a four-night NYE run at the beautiful Boulder Theater (Boulder, CO: Dec. 30 – Jan. 2) with guests Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush, and Stanley Jordan. To show their appreciation to their loyal fans, YMSB has teamed up with some of Colorado’s finest to offer a chance to win tickets to the NYE shows as well as outdoor gear to kick off 2016. The band is giving away a grand prize package of $1,800+ in gear from SCARPA footwear, Osprey Packs, New Belgium Brewing, Voormi, Big Agnes, Zeal Optics and Yonder! It’s safe to say this band is on a steady roll and are ready to push right into 2016 playing better than ever. The new five piece arrangement is crisp, soulful and high energy. Plan accordingly to make it to one of their many Winter/Spring Tour 2016 dates. Here’s the full list to mark your calender.
