Costumes, face paint, lasers and dance music are a winning combination for a great night. Last Thursday, October 29, the Zedd True Colors tour was held at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, IL to kick off Halloween weekend.
The venue, which holds up to 9500, was set up with tiered stadium seating to appease the masses. The floor was packed with concertgoers in full costume ready to dance the night away. UK producer Alex Metric began the night with some disco house to get the party started. A surprise guest appearance by Martin Garrix made the crowd go wild with his EDM chart-toppers. LA native Dillon Francis took the stage with his unique sounds and hysterical visuals of cats, computer error messages, and googly-eyed Drake and The Weeknd cartoons. The show concluded with Grammy Award winner, Zedd, who sat between two blocks of visuals to create a multidimensional stage. His lasers and computer-animated visuals were synched with the music, making his show the highlight of the night. Zedd, who hails all the way from Russia, has been on tour promoting his latest album, True Colors.
